Proudly Métis
Honouring My Heritage Through Story, Wellness, Education & Creativity
Being Métis is an important part of who I am.
It has shaped my appreciation for resilience, family, community, storytelling, and our deep connection to the land and to one another. Those values influence every part of my work—as an educator, author, speaker, mental wellness coach, artist, and advocate.
My hope is to honour my heritage by sharing knowledge, encouraging lifelong learning, and creating resources that inspire connection, healing, and understanding.
My Métis Journey
I am a proud citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario.
Learning more about my family’s history has deepened my appreciation for the strength, courage, and perseverance of the Métis people. Their stories remind me of the importance of community, adaptability, and passing knowledge from one generation to the next.
As I continue learning about my own roots, I hope to encourage others to explore and celebrate their own family stories and cultural heritage.

Speaking
I enjoy speaking with organizations, schools, and community groups about topics including:
• Resilience and wellbeing
• Lifelong learning
• Parenting and advocacy
• Healthy aging
• Mental wellness
• Métis identity and personal journey (where appropriate)
Each presentation blends personal stories, practical strategies, and encouragement that audiences can take home with them.
Why This Matters
For me, being Métis isn’t simply about history.
It’s about carrying forward values that continue to matter today.
Respect.
Community.
Kindness.
Learning.
Connection.
Resilience.
Those values guide how I coach, write, speak, create, and serve others every day.
